Job title: Pet groomer (NOC 65220)

Wage: $16 per hour

Job duties:

·         Bathe, dry, brush, and trim pets

·         Clip and scissor pet hair based on breed or owner’s request

·         Trim and dremel nails, clean ears, and do face, feet, and bum trims

·         Watch for any signs of stress or health issues during grooming

·         Clean and disinfect grooming tools and work areas

·         Handle pets gently and safely

·         Talk with pet owners to understand what kind of grooming they want

Job requirements:

·         High school diploma

·         At least 2 years of experience in pet grooming or pet care

·         Able to use grooming tools like clippers, scissors, nail trimmers, and dryers

·         Know how to bathe, dry, and brush pets properly

·         Comfortable working with pets of all sizes and temperaments

·         Friendly, patient, and good at customer service

·         Must be able to stand for long periods and lift pets when needed

·         Grooming certificate is an asset but not required
