Job description
1. Design plastic injection molds using VISI CAD software or other approved design tools.
2. Interpret customer requirements, specifications, and 3D part data to produce accurate and manufacturable mold designs.
3. Participate in multi-location design reviews and provide design solutions for complex tooling challenges.
4. Prepare and submit design stages (preliminary, intermediate, final) for customer review and approval.
5. Generate and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure accurate and timely job documentation.
6. Collaborate with tooling, machining, and project management teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with estimated cost and project timelines.
7. Inspect and supervise mould installations.
