Tasks
Review engineering design drawings and vendor/supplier documentation in accordance with project specifications to identify and assess potential installation issues.
Plan and manage projects by preparing material take-offs, cost and schedule estimates, order lists for procurement, technical reports, and design specifications for piping and mechanical equipment.
Conduct inspections of all piping systems and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for mechanical equipment like crane prior to shipment to the site.
Supervise and witness hydrostatic testing and mechanical system commissioning; develop punch lists, track the resolution of outstanding items, and support final documentation for system completion and closeout.
Provide supervision to technicians, and engineers while overseeing the evaluation and approval of engineering designs, technical calculations, and project cost estimates.
Coordinate with the project team and vendors to resolve engineering and construction-related issues, ensuring installation requirements are clearly understood.
Develop Quality and Installation standards, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, Installation Procedures, and Quality Reports for piping and mechanical equipment
Prepare Value Engineering Change Proposals (VECPs) to resolve installation-related issues or unexpected design discrepancies.
Investigate mechanical and design failures, provide engineering dispositions, and initiate Requests for Information (RFIs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Actions, and Clearance Reports related to piping and mechanical installation issues or design discrepancies
Create redline markups and as-built drawings based on field reviews and hand measurements of installed piping.
Oversee the preparation of contract documents and the evaluation of competitive tenders for industrial construction and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate and complete records, ensuring timely submission to Document Control for proper documentation and tracking
