Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in the food service industry
Work setting: Restaurant
Supervision: Kitchen and food service helpers, Staff in various areas of responsibility
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Walking, Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Tasks
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Prepare budget and cost estimates
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Establish work schedules

- Organize and maintain inventory
- Conduct performance reviews
- Plan and organize daily operations
