Salary: 46.63 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Must be flexible to work on Early morning, Evening, Morning, Night, on call, Day, Weekend and holidays as required.

Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in electrical or mechanical engineering or in another discipline or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in building maintenance.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Hotel and Residential Apartment Complex
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Direct and control construction projects
· Evaluate construction projects when modifying commercial, transportation or recreational facilities and real estate
· Identify customers’ needs.
· Conduct regular, documented walkthroughs to ensure cleaning quality meets health, safety, and compliance standards.
· Mitigate hazards by removing hazards like debris or spills from walkways.
· Adhere to safety compliance at all times ensuring exit pathways are clear of trash and, in Winter, clearing snow and ice.
· Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
· Plan and organize construction projects.
· Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility
· Read blueprints to determine material requirements.
· Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service.
· Plan and manage the facility’s maintenance budget.
· Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
· Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
· Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems
· Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and landscaping and snow removal.
· Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
· Troubleshoot problems related to equipment.
· Organize and maintain inventory
· Inspect workplaces for security, safety or hazards.
· Respond to fire alarms and other calls for assistance.
· Perform exterior and interior maintenance work.
· Work on air conditioning, minor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, general building work, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, grounds keeping.
· Perform all surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean-up of the painting or repair area.
· Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains, water lines), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, replace lighting ballasts, electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
· Perform preventive maintenance on all guestrooms, public areas, staff areas and general parts of the building.
· Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
· Check, clean, or replace air filters, and inspect vents for dust or mold.
· Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
· Contact contractors and/or tradespersons for major repairs.
· Any other duties as assigned.
