Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene
Monitor residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioural well-being and report changes to management
Take and record residents’ blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other basic health observations
Assist residents with recreational, social, and community-based activities
Respond to resident needs, behavioural incidents, and emergency situations, including administering first aid when required
Assist with medication support and implementation of individualized care plans
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for residents
Assist residents with mobility support including wheelchair assistance and safe transfers
Complete incident reports, daily documentation, and communication logs
Supervise and coordinate activities of caregiving staff during assigned shifts
Provide leadership and operational support within the 24-hour respite care home
Ensure continuity of care, staffing coordination, and compliance with organizational care standards
Support orientation and mentorship of caregiving staff
