Job Bank #3496466
Overview - Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing and supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies in the "Order-to-Delivery" cycle. Design and implement process improvements for ERP utilization, inventory control, and production scheduling to support high-mix/low-volume contract manufacturing projects (Aerospace, Defense, EV).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Process Analysis & Optimization:
Analyze current production workflows within the precision fabrication and assembly departments to identify bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies.
Conduct functional assessments of the existing ERP system structure; propose and implement re-engineering of the "Routing Master" to ensure accurate data flushing and costing visibility.
Design and document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cross-functional teams (Engineering, Logistics, Production) to streamline information flow and reduce backlog.
Supply Chain & Inventory Strategy:
Audit inventory control techniques and define new parameters for "Minimum/Maximum" stocking levels to avoid capital stagnation in raw materials (sheet metal, components).
Develop and deploy dynamic planning models that integrate logistics data with production capacity, ensuring optimal sequencing for complex job orders.
Assess the root causes of inventory discrepancies and lead the implementation of automated tracking protocols (e.g., barcoding/workbooks) to enhance real-time visibility.
Performance Reporting & Business Intelligence:
Design and implement automated management dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and sales backlog.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis on proposed production changes and present findings to Senior Management to support strategic decision-making.
Analyze historical production data to forecast capacity constraints and recommend manpower or equipment adjustments to Operations Leaders.
Change Management:
Lead the rollout of new production scheduling tools (digital displays/TVs) and train staff on improved workflows to ensure adoption and compliance.
Confer with department heads to redefine quality standards and production cost controls, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
