We are looking for a well experienced Purchasing Supervisor for “Cheese Boutique” located at 45 Ripley Ave, Toronto, ON M6S 3P2, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Curate and source premium artisanal cheeses from regional and international producers, ensuring all selections meet Cheese Boutique’s quality standards and align with evolving culinary themes.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships with creameries and specialty artisans, fostering partnerships that emphasize craftsmanship, sustainability, and authenticity.
Negotiate contracts and purchase terms for gourmet products, packaging materials, and exclusive accessories such as cheese boards, knives, and serving ware that reflect the brand’s premium aesthetic.
Forecast and manage inventory across the cheese vault, gourmet pantry, and specialty departments to ensure consistent product availability and optimal stock rotation.
Coordinate purchasing logistics and delivery schedules with domestic and international suppliers, managing lead times to maintain freshness, quality, and timely product availability.
Plan procurement for seasonal events and promotional showcases, ensuring curated selections for special occasions, fundraisers, and private tasting experiences.
Oversee supplier logistics and cold chain coordination, ensuring proper storage conditions and timely restocking across retail, online, and wholesale channels.
Monitor supplier performance and market trends to identify new products, enhance sourcing strategies, and support innovation in product curation.
Prepare purchasing reports, cost analyses, and supplier evaluations to support management in decision-making and long-term procurement planning.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in food & beverage.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $ 36.00 to $ 38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
